  • Citizen-led Public Works Award

In honor of the excellent public works initiated by the citizens, a citizen-led public works award is established to support future citizen-led public works.

  • Civil Engineering Day

The 100th anniversary tie-up events are held each year in time for the projects related to the civil engineering day, which was founded on November 18, 1987.

  • Civil Engineering Collection

The civil engineering collection "HANDS+EYES" will be held to promote the social and historical roles played by civil engineers and interesting works in civil engineering.
Valuable items such as handwritten master drawings of modern Japan are made open to the public.

  • Civil Engineering Tour

In collaboration with a travel agency and a cultural school, JSCE dispatches instructors and provides a venue where the structures, history, and persons of civil engineering can be learned and enjoyed. JSCE continues to establish these activities that serve as models for the promotion and understanding of civil engineering to the general public.

  • Civil Engineering Festival

In order to interact with the public and to help people deepen their understanding of civil engineering, family-friendly events such as an exhibition, an open experiment, and a quiz rally about civil engineering are planned and held at commercial facilities around the country.

  • DOBOKU Cafe

The DOBOKU cafe is a project that aims to find a relationship between new civil engineering and the public by planning the locations of these cafes in open places around the city. In these cafes, not only the information about civil engineering is provided, but also topics from general citizens since the theme is about relating to civil engineering in a broad sense. The project, which is now ongoing in the Kansai branch office, will be widely expanded.
*DOBOKU means the civil engineering in Japanese.

  • Commemorative Goods and Stamps

JSCE will continue to prepare for the production of commemorative goods for the 100th anniversary event and the issue of a memorial stamp.
