Social Safety and Sustainable Development In Pursuance of the Country Which Ensures Public Health, Safety, and Well-being

  • Initiatives Towards Redesign of Safe National Land by JSCE Local Affiliates

The JSCE branches conduct investigations and research on mitigation of damages due to natural disasters, provide citizens with the study outcomes presented in an easy-to-understand way, and think about safety together with the citizens.

  • Water-Level Signs Installation Project of Historical Tsunami and Tidal Wave Records

JSCE installs water-level signs from recorded historical tsunami and tidal waves with the cooperation of the citizens, municipalities, and schools in selected model districts. Through this activity, JSCE tries to enhance the understanding and consciousness of the residents and develop community leaders for disaster prevention.

  • Engineering Alliance Network Project on Mega Disasters

JSCE will organize workshops on mega disasters, wherein members of several engineering societies participate, and an engineering alliance seminar based on their outputs. Through these activities, JSCE aims to construct a network through which several academic societies can team up and discuss mega disaster issues.

  • District Continuity Planning (DCP) Promotion Project for Building a Safe, Secure and Stable Society

In preparation for a future mega quake, JSCE helps the community by building a network system among the citizens, its public administration, and companies. It provides an opportunity to exchange opinions and to ensure the continuous functioning of households, schools and districts.
